I explain the basics of the most commonly used metric units for measuring length: kilometers, meters, centimeters, and millimeters. In this lesson we first of all concentrate on "which is which" — determining which unit is most suitable for a particular situation or measurement.
Then, we practice a few simple conversions between meters and centimeters.
Lastly we solve two word problems with meters & centimeters — one involving perimeter and the other, stacking. Mathy helps also!
