Units of area: square inch, square cm, square feet (3rd grade math)

I show the basics of how units for area work: 1 square centimeter is a square with sides 1 cm long, and similarly for 1 square inch and 1 square foot.

We also find the area of some rectangles, paying special attention to the correct unit of area in the answer.

In the 2nd part of this lesson, we solve various problems related to the area of rectangles.
