An introduction to polygons: a polygon is a flat (2-dimensional) figure consisting of line segments, and it is closed. We look at examples and nonexamples of polygons. Then I go through the names of polygons from triangles to octagons, looking at the Greek or Latin roots. Next, we look at regular polygons, and lastly, I measure the angle of a regular heptagon and of a regular nonagon.
