Irrational numbers (8th grade math/algebra 1)

Rational numbers are those that can be written as a RATIO of two integers. Irrational numbers are just the opposite. Their decimal expansion goes on forever, and has no pattern in the decimal digits. Most square roots are irrational.

Pi is the most famous irrational number. But what about 5 times Pi? Is that irrational or rational? I prove the answer in the video. Lastly we look at a bunch of numbers and determine whether they are rational or irrational.
