Cube roots and approximations of irrational numbers (8th grade math)

Taking a cube root of a number is the opposite operation of cubing. For example, the cube of 3 is 3 × 3 × 3 = 27, and so the cube root of 27 is 3.

We look at several examples of cube roots. Then we go on to find between which two consecutive whole numbers a specific cube root lies. And lastly, we plot several irrational numbers on a number line.
